**ADOT Campaign – Renewed for 2017-2018 **

ADOT_logo

The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) has renewed it’s 12-month PEP/NCSA campaign sponsorship for 2018, continuing on November 1, 2017 – October 31, 2018. They will continue to rotate several campaigns over the year.

CURRENT SCHEDULE – Kill date for ALL spots = 10/31/2018 (unless noted)

  • “ADOT Alerts”  (English TV Only)
  • “Quick Clearance”  (English TV Only)
  • “Drive Aware”
  • “Tow Plow” (English TV Only) – effective 10/17/17  |  Kill Date = 3/1/2018

All spots will run in conjunction until further notice.

The “Tow Plow” campaign informs travelers that ADOT’s snowplows, working sections of I-40 will include Tow Plows, a steerable trailer that allows one driver in a snowplow to clear two lanes at once.   This type of snowplow removes snow and ice more efficiently, uses less fuel and frees other snowplows to work elsewhere.  This spot reminds travelers to give snowplows room, slow down and stay at least four vehicle lengths behind.

The “ADOT Alerts” campaign provides information about the free app that will help keep drivers moving on Arizona’s highways and away from potentially dangerous situations before they are trapped due to a road closure, crash or severe weather – giving them time to choose an alternate route or delay their travel plans to avoid sitting in lengthy backups.

The “Quick Clearance” campaign informs the public about the Quick Clearance Law that requires a driver involved in a minor crash without injuries to remove their vehicle from the roadway if it is operable and can be moved safely.   Removing incidents from the travel lanes keeps motorists and first responders safer and it relieves traffic congestion that often causes a secondary crash.

The “Drive Aware, Get There” campaign is aimed at helping drivers minimize the risk of being in a crash with a wrong-way vehicle.  The spot informs drivers on what they can do to increase their safety when driving at night and what do do if a wrong-way vehicle is encountered OR if an overhead sign warning of a wrong-way driver ahead is seen.
