| Description: | Video Editor KTVK- 3TV is accepting applications for the position of News Video Editor. DUTIES: Edit non-linear stories for 3TV newscasts. Receive and follow instructions on editing of ENG material, from talent or producers. Re-record material from raw master video according to instruction. Observe edits as they are being made on the electronic equipment and correct those that appear to be incorrect technically, aesthetically or for editorial content. Set up equipment for and receive microwave feeds from inter-city link, satellite or mobile van transmission. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: One (1) year television news experience in videotape editing or freelance work experience, or corresponding college degree, strongly preferred. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work well under pressure while meeting strong deadlines. Ability to work well as a team, as well as independently. Knowledge of basic video editing equipment. Basic journalistic skills and editorial judgment for editing stories. Schedule may include weekends, nights and overnights. |
