| Description: | DIGITAL MEDIA NEWS PRODUCER azfamily.com is looking for a motivated Internet News Producer who has a sound grasp of journalism, sense of urgency for breaking news, and a compliment of web-knowledge with experience posting text, video, and pictures online. DUTIES: •Write news reports for the web and other digital media platforms •Ensure editorial quality and compliance with journalistic standards •Use technology and innovation to deliver content that is thorough, accurate, relevant, and timely •Collaborate across multiple teams including reporters, producers, photographers, marketers, technologists, etc. •Update slideshows and special sections of the website •Comply with digital publishing standards, including AP Style guidelines, Google News publishing guidelines, etc. •Other duties as assigned EXPERIENCE/SKILLS: Minimum (1) one year work experience in a journalism role in local or nation al news organizations (print, broadcast or internet) preferred. Bachelor’s degree, preferably in journalism or a closely related field, or experience equivalent. Demonstrated career performance in high quality journalism. in local or national news organizations (print, broadcast or Internet) preferred. Advanced knowledge of digital media concepts including content management systems, mobile publishing, and online community management. Experience in SEO/SEM, interactive marketing, social media, digital journalism, and information architecture. Superior writing and editing skills (optimized AP Style). Individual must be highly motivated, able to multi-task efficiently, handle stressful situations calmly and quickly, a critical thinker and results oriented. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Comfortable using Adobe CS4 (or later) web tools (Photoshop, Dreamweaver, etc.) and/or similar content creation tools. Solid understanding of photo and video editing concepts and tools.
