Description:	KASW- CW6 is accepting applications for the position of Account Executive. Join the premier, people-oriented broadcasting company, BELO, in its unique Arizona duopoly. DUTIES Make local direct and agency sales calls for the purpose of generating revenue for the station. Candidate is required to develop presentations, prepare avails and packages and other requests as required by account, write up and submit orders for approval and follow up on copy and accounts receivable as needed. Salesperson must have the ability to respond to advertisers’ needs, and be able to adapt to different selling situations. Sales personnel will develop a thorough knowledge of the station’s policies, procedures, programming, rates, production and operations. Knowledge of competitive programming and rates is necessary. Periodic entertainment is also required. EXPERIENCE/SKILLS Previous sales experience, with two years television broadcast sales experience strongly preferred. College degree with strong language, math and organizational skills is strongly desired. Applicant should have experience in agency business, prospecting and in developing new business as well as non-traditional revenue for the station. Must possess a proven track record of accomplishments and have the ability to develop effective sales presentations. Knowledge of the Phoenix television market a plus. Computer literate with knowledge of television avails and traffic software, Scarborough, and CMR preferred. A valid driver’s license is required.
