With the FCC’s broadcast incentive auctions officially in the books, the extensive channel repacking process begins. But the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) warns changes are needed to avoid broadcasters being forced off the air.
FCC gets new office on economic data – The Hill
Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Ajit Pai on Wednesday announced the creation of a new office at the agency focused on economics and data. Pai said that the new Office of Economics and Data (OED) would provide economic analysis on many of the functions and policy decisions of the FCC.
The ABA in partnership with the Phoenix Police Department will provide training for all members broadcasting in the field and remote locations. The training will cover things like safety awareness and the use of intelligence to reduce vulnerability. Space is limited to 40 people so sign up ASAP.
